• The Power of Listening

    Jan 15, 2015

We teach in our Communication Skills Training course that Listening is the greatest gift we can give to another. Often we have the right intentions, but our ability to listen, to truly listen to the other with the goal of understanding, gets muddled along the way. In the TEDx talk given by Dr. William Ury, Harvard Professor and peace negotiator suggests that to truly listen to another, we have to first listen to ourselves. We need to be aware of what is going on inside of us so that we can put it aside and free our minds to hear what the other is saying. He invites all of us to join a listening revolution.
